I was skeptical that anything would really make much difference but was desperate to keep my bread fresh longer. This bag is a GAME CHANGER! Bread stays fresh at least twice as long (maybe longer but we ate it all) Do not hesitate on this purchase!!!

These bags are great for freezing bread items. These are supposed to be good to keep homemade breads fresh, too, but I’ve only used for freezing breads. Put bread or rolls in bag, zip, squeeze out excess air by rolling bag, and then clip to keep tight. The bags keep my bread from getting freezer burn. I used to double bag rolls in plastic bags, but these bags have eliminated the need for using plastic bags. Eco-friendly, yay! Each bag has a silicone liner that you can pull out and wipe clean, or put entire bag in the washer as needed. These colors work well for me, too, as I put wheat products in the brown/rust colored bag and white breads in the lighter beige bag.
I love these bread bags. I didn't even know I need these. You can store bread in it, and it has a liner which can keep airtight. I also discovered these are the perfect bags to store by baguette loaves in the fridge for my overnight proofing step - my bageutte tray fits inside, I zip it up, and in the fridge it goes. Since it has the non-stick plastic liner, I can simply rinse it out. I can imagine you could also squeeze in a bowl with your fermented sourdough for the overnight proof - and then use the other one to store your finished bread. I really like these.
